Muddy Feet Contemporary Dance is a project-based contemporary dance company that fosters the employment and generation of new works from dancers and choreographers spanning the full spectrum of contemporary dance.  We are dedicated to a high level of technical and artistic merit, embracing the range of the human physical and emotional experience while engaging in rigorous conversation.  

 

We recognize the growing role of freelancers and pickup companies in a financially stressed arts community, and hope to provide flexible, project-based performance opportunities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.  Balanced with enough structure, compensation, and professional development opportunities, MFCD seeks to be a sustainable, hybrid company model for dancers.

MFCD serves as a platform for the development of our dance films, new work by artistic director Rachel Slater, as well as other commissioned works by choreographers in the community.
